Present perfect continues tense

Definition:

 This tense is used for actions which was started in past and still continue in present or just finished now in present time.

Tense Structure: Has/have + been + Verb first form+ing

इन वाक्यों के अंत में रहा है /रही है /रहे हैं /रहा हूँ /रहे हों (इतने समय से) आता है।
जैसे:
राम 2 घंटे से खेल रहा है।
वे सुबह से खेल रहे हैं।
सीता कल से पढ़ रही है।

1. Ram has been waiting for you all day.

2. I’ve been working on this task since 6 o’clock this morning.
3. We have been traveling since last December.

Example:

Like food is on the table and someone says (She has been cooking since last night). Because food is on the table it means the task is finished in present time.

We can use this tense without duration (like since morning, 2 weeks, 3 hours etc). In this case we will use recently or lately word to show that we are talking about the time that passed recently (means past).

Example:

Recently (or lately), I have been feeling tired.

Have you been preparing for job lately (or recently)?

   If Sub=Singular(एकवचन):

Sub+has been+Verb+ing+since/for(time)

 Sub+hasn’t been+Verb+ing+since/for(time)

How+has+Sub+been+Verb+ing+since/for(time)

Why+hasn’t+Sub+been+Verb+ing+since/for(time)

I have been teaching for ten years.
She has been writing a book since Monday.

The teacher has been giving them assignment for a week.
We have been talking to him for half an hour.

They have been working on this plan for years.

They have not been watching movies since afternoon.

She has not been singing a song since morning.

We have not been seeing anything unusual here.

The child has not been improving for past two years.

They have not been disobeying him since a long time.

Has he been looking at you for a while?

Have the people been tolerating injustice?

Why have you been trying this number for hours?

What have you been expecting from him?

Why has he been behaving so rudely with you?

Examples:

• मैं चार घंटे से सो रहा हूँ।
  I have been sleeping for four hours.                                                        
• घंटी आधे घंटे से बज रही है।
  The bell has been ringing for half an hour.                                                   
• हम छ: साल से इस स्कूल में पढ़ रहे हैं।
  We have been reading in this school for 6 years.                                  
• वर्षा एक घंटे से हो रही है।
  It has been raining for one hour.        
• वह सुबह से खेल रहा है।
  He has been playing since morning.                                                  
• हम दस बजे से नाटक देख रहे हैं।
  We have been watching thw play since 10 o’clock.                                     
• मैं सुबह से चाबियों का गुच्छा ढूंढ रहा हूँ।
  I have been searching for the bunch of keys since morning.              
• मैं सिर्फ दो साल से यहाँ पर रह रहा हूँ।
  I have been living here for two years.                                                         
• मैं दस मिनट से घंटी बजा रहा हूँ, लेकिन कोई भी जवाब देने के लिए नहीं आया।
  I have been ringing the bell for 10 minutes, but nobody has come to answer.                                                                                     
• मैं दो घंटे से ऑफिस में काम नहीं कर रहा हूँ।
  I have not been working in the office for two hours.                               
• सरकार काले धन को रोकने का प्रयत्न 10 सालों से नहीं कर रही है।
  The government has not been trying to check black-money for two years.                                                 
• सरकार एक महीने से भ्रष्ट नेताओं का पीछा नहीं कर रही है।
  The government has not been chasing the ministers for a month.    
• वह कल से खेल नहीं रहा है।                      
  He has not been playing since yesterday.                                               
• तुम बहुत दिनों से अपने स्वास्थ्य का ध्यान नहीं रख रहे हो।
  You have not been taking care of your health for many days.                 
• नहीं, मैं यहाँ पर ज्यादा लंबे समय से नहीं रह रहा हूँ।
  No, I have not been living here since long.                                               
• भिखारी कई महीनों से वहां पर नहीं खड़ा है।
  The bagger has not been standing their for several months.                      
• उसे शाम से गर्मी नहीं लग रही है।
  He has not been feeling hot since evening.                                                                                                                      
• क्या मैं एक साल से फोन चलाना सीख रहा हूँ?
  Have I been learning to operate phone for one year?                               
• क्या मैं सुबह से खेल रही हूँ?
  Has I been playing since morning.       
• क्या वह तीन घंटे से डरावनी फिल्म देख रहा है?
  Has he been seeing a fearful film for three hours?                                       
• क्या हम दो साल से अंग्रेजी भाषा सीखने का प्रयत्न नहीं कर रहे हैं?
  Have we not been trying to learn English for two years?                           
• क्या हम बचपन से तुम्हारी मदद नहीं कर रहे हैं?
  Have we not been helping you since childhood?                                         
• क्या वह 2001 से बूढी नहीं हो रही है?
  Has she not been growing old since 2001?                                                        
• क्या हम आपस में दस दिन से मिल रहे हैं?
  Have we been meeting each other for ten days?
